Football
The five biggest leagues in Europe: 31,126 matches across 86 league seasons, 187 clubs and 64,064 players, 45,566 of them with a page of their own. Every table, total and record here is worked out from the results rather than copied.

45,566 of the 64,064 players recorded at these clubs have a page of their own, and those are the ones this box finds. The other 18,498 have no appearance or goal figure recorded anywhere, so there would be nothing on a page for them — they are listed on their club’s page instead, marked no data available.
What you type stays in your browser: the index is a file this page downloads, and nothing you search for is sent anywhere.

Records and rankings
Counted from the results, so the club lists below are complete within this window.
- Most wins — and most points, most goals scored, most matches played
- The best league seasons — the highest points totals anyone has managed in one
- The biggest wins — every match won by five goals or more
- Most appearances — players, and only those whose career figures are complete
- Why there is no list of leading scorers — the one list this section will not publish, and the measurement behind that
What these pages do not have
No free source links a player to a match. openfootball publishes the fixtures and the results, Wikidata publishes the players and their career figures, and nothing open joins the two. So these pages can tell you a result, and they can tell you how many times a man played for a club and how many he scored — and they cannot tell you who scored in any particular game. The databases that do link them forbid both commercial use and redistribution, so they are not used here.
And an appearance count is often missing. 36,670 of the 64,064 players have a recorded figure for every club they played for; the rest have a gap, and a gap is shown as an em dash or as an “at least”, never as a nought. Only players whose every club spell has a recorded appearance count can be ranked here. A career total built from some spells and not others is a lower bound, and a lower bound cannot be placed against a complete total without inventing the missing part: a man with 240 recorded and two unrecorded spells may well have played more than one with 260. Players with a gap are left out of the order rather than ranked below where they might belong, and their own pages still carry everything that is known.
Only the top division of each country is here, so a relegated club stops appearing until it comes back up. A missing season is a missing division, not a missing file.
Where the numbers come from
Fixtures and results from openfootball, released into the public domain (CC0). Players, clubs and career figures from Wikidata (CC0). Tables, totals and records on this page are worked out here from the results rather than copied from anywhere. No free source links players to individual matches, so these pages give results and career totals but never who scored in a given game.
